  Who Are We?

The Overeaters Anonymous Silicon Valley intergroup (OA SV) represents the OA meetings in most of Santa Clara County, CA.  Specifically we represent the OA meetings in the following cities:  Cupertino, Los Gatos, Morgan Hill, Mountain View, San Jose, Santa Clara and Saratoga. The OA SV Intergroup has a monthly meeting on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:15 PM in Mission Oaks Hospital.  You can get additional information about these intergroup meetings here.  Everyone is welcome to attend the monthly intergroup meetings.

Our Purpose

The purpose of the Overeaters Anonymous Silicon Valley Intergroup shall be the administration and coordination of OA activities common to the various groups (meetings) comprising its membership. These include the following activities

1.  Furthering the OA program in accordance with the Twelve Traditions of Overeaters Anonymous.

2.  Maintaining an Silicon Valley Intergroup communications center for OA in this area (Santa Clara County).

Specifically excluded from the objectives of the OASV Intergroup is the operation of any club or clubhouse as outlined in Tradition Six.

To Meeting Treasurers:

When you send a contribution to Intergroup, please include the day, time and location of the meeting.  Also, if you want the Intergroup to send 30% of your contribution to OA World Service and 10% to OA Region 2, please put 60/30/10 on the check in the memo section.

To Meeting Treasures or Literature Persons:

Since OA World Service does not charge California State sales tax on literature purchases, we are responsible for paying that sales tax to California ourselves.  To make it easier, you can send an additional check to the intergroup for 8.25% of the cost of whatever literature you order from World Service.  The Intergroup will then collect the money and send the appropriate amount to the State of California once a year.
